I’m looking to buy a Funhouse pinball machine in the North Carolina area. We pay the most cash for pinball machines because we are home gameroom collectors. We buy games in just about any condition. From fully working, to completely dead! We are willing to pay cash for your coin-op game. I’m a proud member of We Buy Pinball (We are a group of private collectors, not resellers.). Where we actively buy pinball machines all over the United States of America.
Condition of a game is so incredibly important to justify the price of a game. There is an incredible article over at NC Amusements talking about “How much is my pinball machine worth? What is the value of my game in this condition?” It give a great example of how a bad playfield can destroy a game’s value.
The problem with most FunHouse pinball machines, is there playfields are usually DESTROYED! The majority I’ve ever seen have lots of missing paint and cracking on the playfield. This depreciates the game value immensely.
Other issues on this game are usually are:
1. Animatronic head of Rudy. The eyes not closing/opening. Or, the eyes not moving back and forth. To his mouth doesn’t open/close.
2a. Displays are dead. This is usually a board issue and cost money to fix. 2b. Displays are dim. This is usually even worse! The Pinscore display system for FunHouse costs $239.00 to replace!
3. The game doesn’t boot at all. This could be a problem with the williams WPC board. There is a replacement WPC board from TwoBits for $289.00 plus s/h.
4. Actually there is much more that could go wrong, and usually does for a game this old.
