I’m looking to buy a Funhouse pinball machine in the North Carolina area. We pay the most cash for pinball machines because we are home gameroom collectors. We buy games in just about any condition. From fully working, to completely dead! We are willing to pay cash for your coin-op game. I’m a proud member of We Buy Pinball (We are a group of private collectors, not resellers.).  Where we actively buy pinball machines all over the United States of America.

Condition of a game is so incredibly  important to justify the price of a game. There is an incredible article over at NC Amusements talking about “How much is my pinball machine worth? What is the value of my game in this condition?” It give a great example of how a bad playfield can destroy a game’s value.

The problem with most FunHouse pinball machines, is there playfields are usually DESTROYED! The majority I’ve ever seen have lots of missing paint and cracking on the playfield. This depreciates the game value immensely.

Other issues on this game are usually are:

1. Animatronic head of  Rudy. The eyes not closing/opening. Or, the eyes not moving back and forth. To his mouth doesn’t open/close.

2a. Displays are dead. This is usually a board issue and cost money to fix. 2b. Displays are dim. This is usually even worse! The Pinscore display system for FunHouse costs $239.00 to replace!

3. The game doesn’t boot at all. This could be a problem with the williams WPC board. There is a replacement WPC board from TwoBits for $289.00 plus s/h.

4. Actually there is much more that could go wrong, and usually does for a game this old.

  1. We purchased our Funhouse about 12 years ago in Ohio from a wonderfully reputable gentleman. We have barely used it as our teens-at-the-time were far too busy with other activities. He has sat there getting lonely for far too long. Your network was mentioned to us by a collector/restorer in KY where we now live. If you are interested or know of a party who is who is closer to our area, we would like to send Rudy to “live” where he can work and be played. He works wonderfully, just very rarely.
Thank you for your interest in the pinball game machines. They are great fun.

    1. Dia & Robert,

Rudy is an ornery character! I absolutely love the Funhouse pinball machine! However, the playfields usually don’t hold up well over time (Bad clear coating from the factory actually), and Rudy “head” solenoids often fail/break. The other major problem I often find is acid damage to the boards themselves. Most people don’t realize that the Double “A” Alkaline batteries can and over time will leak. Most never remove the batteries out of the game, and over time the damage is done.

I took the liberty to pull the 2013 Mr. Pinball price guide’s listed price for Funhouse. It’s listed at $2,675. I know thousands of pinball machine collectors all over the world. I’m sure I can find a local collector (crating and shipping is a royal pain) that would be interested in your Funhouse in Kentucky. I’ll be sending you an email asking you for pictures of your game. You can email the pictures to me, or simply text message them. Please remember that you can never send me too many pictures. My buddies always ask for more.

Thanks so much for contacting the “We Buy Pinball network”!
