South Africa Is Aiming For The T20 World Cup With No Baggage

According to South Africa’s standout paceman Lungi Ngidi, the nation is “baggage free” and is in a good position to break their World Cup losing streak.

South Africa’s victory against India in Perth by five wickets on Sunday night threw even more uncertainty into the battle for the title of Twenty20 World Cup champion.

Ngidi was awarded the man-of-the-match honors for his 4-29, but South Africa had plenty of other contributors as they surged to the top spot in Group 2 after three matches were played.

On Thursday, South Africa will be competing once again, this time against Pakistan at the SCG.

Pakistan, who started their tournament with losses to India and Zimbabwe before rebounding against the Netherlands, has to win against South Africa in order to have any chance of reaching the semi-finals.

Even though South Africa has already secured a spot in the semifinals, veteran paceman Wayne Parnell is not getting too excited just yet.

It was his statement that “we don’t want to look too far ahead.”

However, if we execute to the best of our abilities, we will be difficult to beat.

“Beating this incredibly talented Indian team will give us a lot of confidence, but now we need to reset and focus on Pakistan as our next opponent.“
